Needless to say my mother was not happy with my characterization of her as a fascist. I just want to say that I mostly said this because it sounded funny. Like, “ my grandmother wears combat boots.” Sorry Mom. After a lengthy discussion yesterday I see that at least for that day she was not a fascist. I say that because on other days she says things that are fascistic. For example, she believes that the right to have children should be taken away and given to the state. Could that be characterized as fascistic? How about totalitarian? I’m positive it is elitist. Discussions with her show that she is generally not for fascistic policies but she votes for and or supports people that are. One reason for the website is to point out these people, much to the chagrin of those that just want to believe that everyone just wants to do good and get along. Stalin, Hitler, Che, Castro, Mao, Chavez, etc. all believe(d) that they are or were doing what was best for everyone, and killed or jailed millions, not to mention taking away many freedoms.
Recently my boss said, “Can’t we all just get along”, during a discussion on conspiracies perpetrated by the Federal Reserve, or at least the owners of it. I am not convinced that there is any sort of conspiracy of a few men that are controlling the world, i.e. the US, towards a one world government. I don’t believe that each and every president is either in on the secret before they get elected or that someone approaches them after being elected and told that they must do x, y or z or else… JFK… Reagan… If Reagan had died when he got shot there would have been a whole other conspiracy to deal with. Then there are the George Soroses of the world that admittedly really are for a socialist one world government. Socialists, communists and fascists all tend to be totalitarians.
One of the main reasons why I want to start a website is because of this “just wanting to get along” sentiment. The problem is that it usually means we should give up something, usually give up control or freedom for security. Benjamin Franklin said, “those that want to give up freedom for security deserve neither”, or something like that. Is that a mean spirited statement? Often, “just getting along” means giving up constitutional rights. People don’t realize that those constitutional protections were put in place against tyranny. This includes tyranny of the minority. If they truly believe that the constitution should be changed they should just go through the process rather than just ignoring it or letting the judges and politicians ignore it. George Soros is currently drafting up a new constitution.
I will refer to the Left generally because it makes it easier than to list everyone during a discussion. Over the course of time I will slowly identify those that comprise the Left. Generally the Left wants government control. They have utopian ideas that they want to force on everyone.
One of the attacks that freedom lovers usually get thrown at them is that they are mean. Mean for pointing out that someone is a fascist, for example. Mean for “wanting to let people suffer and die” and all sorts of other name calling. I will address each issue as they are presented. But, instead of taking offense I simply ask how or what have I said that is mean instead of resorting to name calling. My mother might take offense at being called a fascist but instead of resorting to leftist tactics and name calling she should ask me to prove that statement or she should retract any fascistic statements. I hope I have already clarified this point. And I hope she will respond on my website because I think it would be very illustrative of what is currently happening in America and the West.
My experience is that most default-Leftists (what do you call a person that supports a Leftist superficially and in effect but not knowledgably) refuse to get into an ongoing political tete-a-tete because all they are usually equipped with is name calling and mainstream media driven narratives. These narratives are produced and promoted by even famous and award winning journalists like Walter Durante of the New York Times and Nobel Laureats.
